Amari Sengsavanh

Warner Pacific’s Amari Sengsavanh claimed the team’s only win Jan. 15, 2015, against No. 2-ranked Southern Oregon, beating the Raiders’ Trevor Hancock 9-7 in overtime at 141 pounds. Sengsavanh, a freshman from Century High School in Hillsboro, finished 19-15 on the season – one of only three Knights to post a winning record in the team’s first year.

Enrolled at OSU for spring term of 2016 after attending Portland Community College part-time in 2015-16 … Spent 2014-15 season at Warner Pacific University … Has three years of eligibility remaining.

Was 20-18 with six pins as a freshman in 2014-15.

Lettered four times for coach Guy Takahashi; was a two-time district champion and three-time state qualifier … Placed 2nd at the 2014 OSAA State Championships.
